Precious wood designed by Shigeo Mashiro

These five containers are a combination of umbrella pine and ancient cedar. The darker colour of the cedar comes from the fact that it was buried underground for more than 2,500 years. The striped colours reflect a desire to help viewers identify the assemblage of pieces.
