Ebonised holm oak pot

This pot comprises a flat bottomed form made from holm oak and is hand carved on a lathe. The pot is characterised by a large void on the rim, which is held with fine silver wire stitching and some fine silver staples. The oak wood has been blackened with iron oxide solution.
