Kurage, meaning jellyfish in Japanese, is inspired by levitating marine bodies and their unexpected movements. This piece was turned with green wood, which Aitor Martínez greatly enjoys working with and cast on the wheel with many hours of sculpting. The tips of the legs have metallic oxides that bring out the tannin of the oak so that they blend with the floor, brushed with wire and finished with oil. It was a challenge to make them harmonious with the body and with each other.
