Rabo de Nube

Inspired by a song by Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez, Rabo de Nube is a piece about the tornadoes in Cuba. This work of art was created for the design category of the IV International Cistelleria Roser Albó competition, with the theme of air, where it won first prize. It is made using a six-strand spike braiding technique, leaving one palm free and sewn in a spiral. The loose palms give the piece a sense of movement, capturing the dynamic essence of air.
