Orchid series

These vases were thrown on the wheel using Limoges porcelain. While leather-hard, sharp blades were used to incise into the surface and draw the flowers' intricate detail. Ceramic ink was flooded into these marks, then the pieces were bisque fired and polished before glazing with a colour to match the flower.
