Coil and Spring is a permanent installation in the University of Exeter. The object is formed using the traditional silversmithing technique of raising and transforming a flat sheet of metal into a dished form, combined with soldering, etching, piercing, and patination. The object is an abstraction of microsporidia and comprises five raised forms suggesting the different stages in the development of spores.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
