Mughal Tunic, black
This is a 3D paper collage, reproducing a typical Mughal tunic. It is made from printed mulberry papers that Liz Valenti assembled over five years, over many visits to India and Nepal. A Rajasthani tunic provided the basis for pattern cutting the garment. The decorative elements are made from cutting and layering six embossed gold stamped contrasting papers.
