
This tall conical vase was shaped by hand on a potter's wheel using red clay. Following the creation of the initial form, roses were shaped and placed onto the form before the first firing at 1000C. Following the first firing, the vase was decorated with matte white enamel and fired a second time at 920C. Finally, gold enamel was applied onto the rose forms before a final firing at 680C.
