Two fish with curled fins adorn the lid of this scaly-looking orange and purple box. It was made using the lustre technique, in which a blend of metallic salts and controlled firing produce various iridescent and chromatic effects. The work received the First Choice Award at the International Ceramics Competition in Gualdo Tadino, near Perugia.
