Yaeyama jofu classic pattern warp and weft fabric

This decorative cloth is made up of two pieces of cloth lined side by side. It features a sheer plain weave in linen. It is handwoven and features hand-tied indigo-dyed warp and weft threads on the natural off-white colour of ramie. The weft thread is made of hand-spun ramie thread from harvested plants. The design is an original arrangement made in ancient ryukyu kasuri patterns passed down in Okinawa.
