Yaeyama minsa hanhaba obi 1

This is a narrow cotton belt, hanhaba obi. It is handwoven with a ribbed texture and dyed using only natural dyes such as indigo and mangrove. The pattern shows the traditional Yaeyama minsa design, created using hand-tied kasuri threads.
