This polychrome vase is part of a series created by Camille as a tribute to the photographer Edward Steichen (1879–1973), who was a major contributor to the Pictorialism movement, which claimed photography to be an art in its own right. Here Camille transposes some key features of Edward Steichen's favourite subject, the pond. The vase is composed of several layers of float glass, painted, fused, slumped and polished.
