This piece is made from wild gorse collected from hedges and ditches around Sasha's home. Until recently, the local farmers would burn the gorse annually as it takes over the mountainsides and is prickly and unmanageable. The piece, made following a trip to Tokyo, is inspired by Japanese aesthetics.
