Urban Archaeology

Marie began to focus on the theme of cities in 2010, exploring all the layers of buildings from basement to rooftop in a series of dreamlike cityscapes. In “Urban Archaeology”, a tall curving sculpture of lacquered steel, Marie reveals the mysteries of an imagined basement.
