Scartoccio

Hand carved frame with floral motifs. It is composed of seven different pieces, roughed individually and then joined together to be finished. Before moving on to the gilding, more layers of clay lands are laid out with the aim of improving the burnishing and giving a basic chromatic effect to the gold. After the gouache gilding with 24k gold leaves, the coating process can start.
