Barak Norman viola da gamba
This particular instrument is inspired by the violas of Barack Norman, a British luthier of the 17th century. Made from two pieces of fir from the same tree, the outside is first sculpted and the inside carved. Hoops of the soundboard are made in very fine maple wood, bent with the use of heat. The top of the handle is also carved.
