Hinode is the japanese word for sunrise. This work is made from green grass that Kazuhito Takadoi grew in his back garden. He waits until the grass is tender to manipulate and embroider the paper. Each circle in gold leaf is also embroidered with grass. The grass eventually matures and becomes a golden, natural colour. The contrast with the gold leaf becomes more evident.
