Vase Contradicition

A trio of vases made of solid Swedish oak blocks with inserted glass tubes sculpted by Per Brandstedt. During the drying process the shape is distorted and cracked. After drying, holes are bored and the top shaped with a “lip” surrounding the glass containers. The surfaces are scorched, brushed and oil finish is applied, giving the objects a deep black colour and textured, tactile surfaces.
