Fibre fan

This fan can be used as a functional or decorative object. The fan is handcrafted from esparto grass topped with a pith and set on a wooden base. The form is inspired by flamenco dance, an icon of femininity and a symbol of Spanish culture. The piece is created with a union technique as well as by working the esparto grass fibres manually.
