Table lamp XXVII Escher’s Leaves (by night)

Table lamp XXVII Escher’s Leaves (by night)

The precisely charted spiral-based pattern of this table lamp was inspired by the work of M.C. Escher. The leaf design was built on the spherical, spiral grid to create evolving, symmetrical and continuous balanced leaf forms. The whole gourd is carved, including the openwork leaves. The ending part of the base is carved from wood. Its motif is closely related to the main pattern of the lamp.
