Ash glazed plate

This plate is made on a potter's wheel from local stoneware clay. Under the greenish ash glaze there is a thin half transparent layer of white porcelain slip. Delicate brushstrokes lead from the glaze to the stoneware. The different layers tell stories about the past of the plate. Thanks to the high temperature wood firing, the plate is excellent for professional gastronomic use.
