Impossible puzzle

This tapestry is one of five by Lise Frølund. Together they make up a 6m long tale of family life. If the small tapestries are alternately shown with the reverse side facing, the figures of the family fit well together but the colours are all wrong. Conversely, if the colours are right the figures appear as fragments only. The idea is to show that the ideal family is not just around the corner.
