Kookaburra

During his visits to Australia, Lino Tagliapietra was fascinated by the Aboriginal designs. In this work he tried to replicate their very colourful patterns, using a double blowing technique, overlapping two different layers of glass. This special technique gives depth to the design and lets the artist elegantly finish the upper part. The outside is blown using only murrine, the inside Lino used multicolour canes.
