Girl with the evil eye dress

This handpainted plate figure depicts a girl wearing a dress with an evil eye which symbolises good luck and protection. It was made with underglaze paint on the bisque ceramic and a semi glazing with transparent glaze. The solid-coloured parts which were left unglazed before the firing have a matt finish.
