Lemessos

Inspired by traditional Cypriotic embroidery, the colours in this tile composition are in two nuances of green, a deep Aegean blue and sand gold. The motifs and patterns found on traditional knitwork are transformed into more abstract and geometrical shapes. The tiles have been painted with a special smalt paint on top of the glazed surface.
