This ceramic sculpture was hand-built using stoneware and porcelain slip. It is part of a more recent body of work in which Monika explores different shapes but still focuses primarily on the painting, using the ceramic as a canvas. The final piece was salt-fired in a low–temperature gas kiln. The slight hints of salt modify the colours, creating darker tones.
