Hand painted ceramic sculpture

This ceramic form was hand built using stoneware and porcelain slip and served as a canvas for Monika's expressive abstract painting. The final piece was salt-fired in a low-temperature gas kiln. The slight hints of salt modify the colours, creating darker tones.
