Reflections in a Golden Eye

This mosaic in various shades of gold explores the different tones of this metal. The tesserae, to which pure gold has been added, were laid directly in cement mortar. Giulio's work is characterised by a need for constant material and technical experimentation, breaking away from traditional mosaics to indulge in a continual exploration of colour, light and form.
