Plastic image of: EUROPE

The tesserae covering the surface of this 10-metre-high column are a mix of natural materials and experimental and ceramic enamels. Ochre tesserae adorn the bottom part of the column, while the upper part is decorated with colourful geometric forms and the names of European countries. The work is characteristic of Giulio's ongoing experimentation with and exploration of new materials.
