Sika console table

Sika is a lightweight and elegant console table reminiscent of a young deer. The angled, splayed legs give a Bambi-like stance, while the extravagant ray patterns in the grain of the silky oak echo deer hide markings. Traditional through-tenon joinery is used to expose the attractive end-grain of the silky oak which forms the central curved X-shaped crosspiece which connects the four hand-shaped legs. The book-matched silky oak top is supported delicately on the tops of the legs and incorporates carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb for strength and rigidity, and to prevent any sagging over time.
