Luthier Wiebke Lüders based in Norway & British fellow Naomi Soni
Wiebke fell in love with the Hardanger fiddle (the traditional instrument of Norway) during a visit to Trondheim’s Ringve Museum in 2008. Having trained internationally as a musical instruments conservator, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, she became a fiddle maker in 2016 and works at the Ole Bull Academy in Voss.
A graduate of West Dean College in Sussex, Naomi was a 2024 Homo Faber Young Ambassador. She is now focusing on refining her existing skill base, learning to repair instruments and working with different materials – and learning to play the Hardanger fiddle with a local fiddle group.
