Weaver Morgane Baroghel-Curcq based in France & French fellow Maëva Louvel

Award-winning weaver Morgane studied at the École Nationale de Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris and is based in Aix-en-Provence. Passionate about developing new techniques from non-traditional materials such as metal, she explores weaving techniques through an intuitive process of experimentation, inspired by light and metal’s own subtle language.

Maëva obtained her bachelor’s and master’s in textile design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. She combines her passion for weaving with her fascination for metallic thread and passementerie to create her textile artworks. Maëva has dedicated a lot of time to researching her chosen threads to inform her experimental approach.
