Ceramicist Caterina Roma based in Spain & Argentinian-Spanish fellow Mili Couto Perkins
Self-taught ceramicist Caterina collects local clay, plants and rocks for her work, which is fired in a wood kiln. Bridging art and function, the poetic and the practical, her work (including dinnerware brand Trepat) embodies a connection to place, personality and purpose.
Raised in Argentina, Mili left a career in advertising determined to challenge perceptions of hands-on craft, ability and belonging. Born without fingers on one hand, she creates objects and claims space for herself through ceramics. She has a key interest in reviving the Empordà region’s ceramic tradition.
