Boris & Marie: Decorative Painting

Decorative painter Boris Deltchev based in Bulgaria & Norwegian fellow Marie Randen

Boris travels the world exploring the rich possibilities of decorative painting as part of his decades-long career. With his busy team of artists in Sofia, he is passionate about sharing the language of craft, and has purchased an abandoned school outside Sofia to establish a bottega for cultural exchange.

Seeing the dwindling state of decorative painting in her native Norway, solution-oriented Marie feels that deepening her technical understanding of traditional décor – such as sky painting – and making connections outside her country are integral to reviving interest in, and appreciation for, quality decorative paint work and skills.
