Ana María began her career at 16, mastering hand weaving, natural dyeing and spinning while immersed in the rich textile traditions of Spain’s Castilian plateau. Now a master weaver at Ábbatte, a textile studio set within a 13th-century Cistercian monastery, she is passionate about passing on her savoir-faire and ensuring the continuity of her craft.

An art history graduate of Goldsmiths College, London, Camila trained in jewellery making in Madrid before co-founding Ábbatte alongside her mother, Elena. The textile studio combines a contemporary design sensibility with a commitment to keeping the region's ancestral weaving traditions alive.
