Five-day workshop on furniture weaving in Cuenca

Ana María Basenta invites participants in this 35-hour workshop, where several samples of natural fibre weaving will be carried out to craft furniture, using both hemp cord and rattan in lattice work. This workshop aims to provide an introduction to techniques of hemp cord weaving with various patterns or original designs, as well as lattice weaving. Students will prepare the frames and weave them. Throughout the course, different furniture models from history related to the topic will be explored. Each student will take home the completed works. Please note that this workshop is divided into 7-hour sessions spanning over 5 days. The price is 420 EUR per person.
