Straw marquetry is a very similar craft to wood marquetry, except that straw replaces the wood veneer. In this short course, Valérie Colas des Francs encourages participants to choose their own materials and design. After carrying out a series of exercises in order to acquire the basic techniques of the craft, participants can then realise their own straw marquetry object. The experience is offered to adult participants of any level, since Valérie can adapt it according to ability.
