Slip casting course in Bucharest

with Anca Vintilă Dragu

Two sessions to experiment with slip casting

Join Anca Vintilă Dragu in her Una ca Luna studio to experiment with porcelain and the slip casting technique, which was originally employed in factories to mass-produce objects, and later adjusted by ceramicists for studio work. During this two-session workshop, you will be able to understand the technique and try your hand at creating two or three objects using the studio moulds, for cups, plates, and bowls, with white or coloured porcelain slips. These will then be bisque-fired for the second session when you can come back to decorate and glaze. The objects can be taken home within seven to ten days after firing. Please note that each session lasts about two and a half hours. The whole course costs 200 EUR per person.
