The prestigious Pinton manufacturer, located close to the famous town of Aubusson, opens its doors to share with you the secrets and techniques used to create Aubusson tapestries. From designing the cardboard to the choice of colours and materials, you will also discover all the talent and dexterity required by the weavers when working on a “basse-lisse” loom. The visit continues with a presentation of the techniques combining creativity and innovation used to make a “hand-tuft” carpet, a modern version of the prized Savonnerie rugs that once graced the palaces of Europe.
