Pelota workshop near Biarritz

with Jon & Patxi Tambourindeguy

Visit the workshop of two cesteros

In the little village of Bidart in the Basque Country, the Tambourindeguy brothers, Jon and Patxi, created their workshop Ona Pilota, which means "The Good Pelota ball". Converted into cesteros and peloteros, they open the doors of their workshop for you to discover the art of making and repairing chisteras and pelota balls. In France, the cesteros are not numerous and few agree to transmit or share their knowledge. The visit to the Ona Pilota workshop is therefore a unique opportunity to discover a rare and artisanal profession with two Cesta Punta world champions who are as passionate as they are experienced.
