Paper curtains workshop in Lithuania

with Odeta Bražėnienė

Paper flowers in your windows

In the 19th century, paper curtains were used in Lithuanian folk art to decorate windows in houses. The Lithuanian countryside was full of paper shelf decorations and lampshades. Today, under the guidance of Odeta Bražėnienė, an experienced craftswoman with over 40 years of paper cutting experience, you can learn about traditional Lithuanian folk paper curtains, their history, main motifs and how to make them yourself. As a result, you will learn to make paper birds, tulips and nursery flowers. All you need is paper and scissors, and the result is a unique window decoration that will set your windowpane apart from the rest.
