Enamelling is a complex technique requiring a lot of knowledge and skill. In this class led by Marytė Dominaitė, a jewellery maker with 45 years' experience in working with enamel, you can dip your toes into the world of this craft. Create a small piece of jewellery or an enamel palette tray yourself! At the start of the workshop, you will find a ready-to-use enamel palette tray, enamel powder and the tools for sketching. You will learn how to compose a sketch, transfer it into metal and carefully turn it into a work of enamel art. You will discover the alchemy of metal and fire.

Enamelling is a refined and sophisticated technique and creating one piece requires a great deal of experience and knowledge. Lithuanian jeweller Marytė Dominaitė has been working with enamel for over 45 years. In this workshop, she will help you understand the subtleties of enamel art and introduce you to different techniques. You will learn to compose a sketch, prepare metal, transfer your drawing into it, apply powder to it and create the desired colour combination by firing your piece in the kiln. Those who wish to delve deeper into the secrets of enamel will be able to learn the techniques of graphic enamel, champlevé enamel and the most complex, cloisonné enamel.
