Laura Hart is a master of glass fusing, the technique of bonding together separate pieces of glass in a kiln, allowing the creation of intricate sculptures of different colours, such as Laura’s delicate butterflies and orchids. Held in her studio in Cavendish, Suffolk, UK, this two-day course is the ideal introduction to glass fusing for beginners or those with some experience who would like to increase their skills. In a relaxed environment, with a maximum of six people per class, participants will learn about cutting, coldworking and design, planning firing schedules, glass fusing techniques and processes. Both fun and informative, the class aims to be an inspirational experience for anyone interested in glass art.
