First-hand discovery of a micromosaic workshop

Luigina Rech welcomes visitors to her studio for a 1-hour tour of her workshop. The visit begins with an introduction to the history and birth of micromosaic in the Vatican Mosaic Studio. The tour then proceeds with a demonstration of the technical process, from designing and preparing the stucco to melting glass pastes over a flame and laying the mosaic threads. Please note that the workshop costs 50 EUR per person and must be booked in advance.
