Broom maker Julia Tait Dickenson invites visitors to her downtown Santa Fe studio, Thin Air Goods, to make their own one-of-a-kind, functional broom. During each workshop, Julia teaches the fundamental techniques of broom making, including wrapping and stitching, as well as her signature style of incorporating found objects and secondhand materials into her brooms. The end result is a bespoke, personalised broom intended for daily use around the home. Participants in Julia’s workshop can choose to create the following broom types: any number of small keyboard brushes, two Cholla Cactus horsehair paintbrushes, or one small whisk broom with stitching. Please note that this workshop costs 100 USD per person. A minimum charge of 300 USD will be applied for groups comprising one to three attendees.
