The secluded Campiello del Sol in the San Polo area of Venice is home to the atmospheric atelier of Gabriele Gmeiner, who has been designing made-to-measure men’s and women’s shoes since 2002. Using a top-quality range of leathers as her springboard, this expert craftswoman designs and creates shoes that fulfil customers' tastes and desires. She always begins by crafting a last that fits the measurements before moulding a shoe of unrivalled beauty, durability and comfort. Visiting the workshop is an opportunity to meet Gabriele, listen to her story and love of Venice, admire the tools she uses, and learn how she makes shoes over weeks of work and direct contact with the customer. Please note that this visit is free and can accommodate up to 5 people.
