Nora Atkinson began her career as a curator at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington. Nora was the Executive Director at the Museum of Craft and Design from 2024 to 2025. Prior to that, she was the Fleur and Charles Bresler Curator-in-Charge at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, where she curated four original exhibitions, reimagined the museum’s permanent collection galleries and authored three publications. Her research centres on contemporary art and craft and the role of the handmade in the digital age, with an emphasis on humanism.
