The uroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a snake eating its own tail, and represents the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth. Named after this, UrOburo is a medieval-style jewellery workshop in the heart of Milan. Here, apprentices have the opportunity to learn from accomplished masters, and the atelier also acts as a social cooperative by employing socially disadvantaged people. Founded in 2002 by master Davide De Paoli, UrOburo has grown and evolved over time. Nowadays, the atelier produces small original series, the signature collection being the mythological snake, alongside one-off collaboration works with external designers.
UrOburo offers a variety of services, including unique pieces upon request and according to customer requirements, jewellery restoration, and recreational experiences for the public. One example is the wedding ring workshop which allows future spouses to create their own wedding rings with the help of a goldsmith. UrOburo prides itself on creating jewellery that is ethically sourced and produced, as well as using recycled gold and conflict-free diamonds.
