Led by founder and creative director José Schnaider, Sten Studio is a multidisciplinary design workshop exploring the intersection of art, geology and functional objects. Working primarily with rare and expressive natural stones, José and his team transform marble, onyx, volcanic rock and semi-precious minerals into collectible design pieces that blur the boundary between sculpture and furniture. Sten Studio collaborates exclusively with seven artisan workshops across Mexico, acting as a catalyst for artisanal, cultural and economic development within Mexico’s lapidary community and firmly placing contemporary Mexican stone craftsmanship on an international stage.

Cosmic Relics engages with the ancient act of observing the universe as a shared cultural ritual. Across civilisations, celestial alignments have symbolised transformation and collective destiny. The totem embodies this link as a vertical axis connecting earth and sky, matter and spirit. Each piece is composed of carefully selected stones whose diversity reflects the geological richness of our planet and the plurality of human societies. Cosmic Traces translates this symbolism into a horizontal plane, where mineral lines echo celestial trajectories, transforming geological time into a functional cartography of cosmic energy.
