Rikke Lunnemann creates poetic jewellery that tells stories from everyday life, like a coffee stain, a bird in a tree or a band-aid gilded in 24-carat gold. From her workshop in Svendborg in the south of the island of Funen, Rikke makes storytelling pieces in gold, silver, gemstones and pearls. Her jewellery is never loud but delicate and subtle, like the ring with layers of gold 'mattresses' with a small diamond hidden between as a reference to H. C. Andersen's fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. Gold never ceases to amaze Rikke because it is Mother Earth’s natural mineral and holds infinite possibilities for transformation and interpretation. Her precious jewellery stories transfer joy and inspiration to those who wear them.
